Our investments in a sustainable future

To reduce our impact and make our processes more sustainable, we have already made several investments and innovations:

• Solar farm of 1,600 kWp: a major step towards energy independence
• 100% gas-free new-build offices, fully in line with our climate ambitions
• Energy monitoring & LED lighting: optimising our energy consumption in production halls
• More efficient compressor fleet and expansion of charging infrastructure for our electric vehicle fleet
• Smart paint thickness control for more sustainable use of raw materials
• Own water treatment plant for responsible water management

Concrete sustainability goals

Sustainable business means not only investing, but also setting measurable goals. DUCO is committed to the VOKA Charter Sustainable Business and actively participates in the European Green Deal. We do this by:

• Carbon footprint management and continuous reduction of our CO2 emissions
• Life cycle analyses (LCA) of products to improve environmental performance
• Understanding dual materiality risks to embed sustainability in our business strategy

Our 10 sustainability focal points

Innovative products: climate- and customer-friendly

1. By 2030, at least 50% of the mass of new products will consist of recycled materials.

2. We reduce single-use packaging by 25% by the end of 2026 (vs. 2022).

Product design and life cycle management

3. New products will be 90% recyclable from 2025.

Sustainable procurement and investment

4. CO2 reduction of 40% by 2030 and 100% by 2045 (scope 1 & 2, vs. 2020).

5. 75% of our suppliers evaluated for sustainability by 2025.

6. Origin of top-80 raw materials fully traceable by 2025.

7. People-oriented HR policy and long-term commitment within the DUCO team.

8. Improve OTIF delivery reliability by 15% within three years.
