What role do filters play in a ventilation system?
Filters are a crucial part of the ventilation box. Without clean filters, there is no healthy indoor air and you shorten the life of the appliance.
- Holding back dust particles and substances that cause allergies.
- Protecting the components in the ventilation box and preventing damage to e.g. the heat exchanger by dust and dirt.
- Clean filters have a beneficial effect on energy consumption. With dirty filters, the ventilation box has to work harder to filter the air.
We therefore recommend cleaning the filters of a MVHR unit every 3 months and replacing them after 6 months.
